I need calendar syncing. I need adress book syncing. I need file syncing. I don’t need to pay a hundred bucks for it, because there are excellent free alternatives.
For calendar and adress syncing I use Fruux, it does its job in the background, you won’t notice it and your stuff’s in perfect sync. The most amazing thing about Fruux is their customer support: I ran into a configuration problem and send an email to them at 11pm (their local time). I had a very helpful and friendly answer 8 minutes (!) later. Works perfectly now and is totally free (you can donate however). I absolutely recommend those guys, they make a great product.
Today I discovered Dropbox for file syncing. As far as I can tell by now it works perfectly well. They give you 2 GB of online storage space for free. And the user interface is dead simple, also an amazing tool.
After all I think that I can live without MobileMe…
